The HyperQ Analyzer Rest is a special software module designed to work with SCHILLER’s CS200 Excellence and CS200 Touch ECG systems. By using the “Rest Rhythm” option on the SCHILLER systems and recording the patient at rest for at least 180 seconds (3 minutes) the user can get an unprecedented view of the patients high frequency ECG signal. This high frequency signal, which is depicted by the HyperQ Rest, is very sensitive to acute ischemia and can be used to diagnose patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) with chest pain.
While conventional ECG is extremely useful in detecting ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) other cases of Acute Coronary Syndrome, namely Non ST Elevation MI (NSTEMI) and Unstable Angina (UA) are quite difficult to diagnose. Thus, in the ED, after the initial ECG test which usually takes around 10 seconds, patients that are suspected of Non ST Elevation ACS are often sent for further tests (biomarkers etc.). During this time, taking a 3-5 minute rest rhythm test and employing HyperQ by simply clicking the “Show in HyperQ” button can give the Emergency Department staff additional critical information.
