Forsan Hussein, Chairman
Forsan Hussein is the Founder and Managing Partner of Zaitoun Ventures.  Prior to Zaitoun Ventures, Forsan was the CEO of the Jerusalem International YMCA, an institution that promotes harmony between Palestinians and Israelis since its establishment in 1878.  Forsan was also the CEO of the Three Arches Company in Jerusalem and Tiberius – a YMCA subsidiary company.
Since the age of 10, Forsan has been involved in various organizations that promote Middle East peace and foster cooperation, equality, and coexistence.  As part of his social entrepreneurship efforts, Forsan has created several international organizations including Shalam, Peace Camp Canada, Soccer for Peace, and Mabat.  Forsan worked as an investment consultant for Capital Group Companies in Los Angeles.
Currently, Forsan serves on the advisory board of a number of startups and non-profits, including Social Finance-Israel.  Forsan is a member of the Palestinian-Israeli Emerging Business Leaders Network, a Kauffman Fellow and a Young Global Leader.
Forsan holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.A. from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

 

 

Professor Michael Eldar, External Director
Prof. Eldar is the Director of the Heart Institute and the Leviev Heart Center in Sheba Medical Center, one of Israel’s largest and most prominent hospitals. He has vast experience as a Principal Investigator in Clinical Research Studies, received numerous academic and professional awards and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology. Prof. Eldar has published over 130 peer reviewed articles as well as chapters in books, and has more than 30 years of experience in clinical research and practice.

 

 

 

Ehud Cohen, External Director
Dr. Cohen is BioControl Medical’s CEO. Under his leadership, BioControl Medical has attracted a world-class group of senior executives, engineers and medical advisors and has developed an advanced implantable electrostimulation platform technology with potential application in numerous therapeutic areas. Cohen has successfully led BioControl Medical through three financing rounds, and he also oversaw the sale of the company’s technology assets in urology and gynecology to American Medical Systems in 2006. He is currently leading the company’s focused efforts to develop and commercialize implantable electrostimulation devices for the treatment of autonomic disorders, an initiative financed in part through a strategic alliance with Medtronic. Cohen previously held technical project management roles in the Israeli Department of Defense and the Israeli Navy. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics as well as a Ph.D. in Physics from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

 

 

Ms. Einav Aharoni-Yonas, Director
Ms. Einav Aharoni-Yonas is the Managing Director of Kodak Israel, Kodak’s multidisciplinary R&D center in Israel. In addition, Ms. Aharoni-Yonas is the Global Head of Innovation at Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: KODK). Eastman Kodak Company is a technology company focused on imaging, providing hardware, software, consumables and services to customers mainly in the printing industry.
Prior to joining Kodak, Ms. Aharoni-Yonas represented high tech companies and VCs in day to day activities and in investment rounds, working for first tier law firms.
Ms. Aharoni-Yonas holds an LL.B. and B.A. in accounting from Tel Aviv University and is currently completing a Master Degree in Philosophy. She is also a qualified Mediator.
Ms. Aharoni Yonas is a member of the Management Team of 8200 Alumni Association.
